mari kita bahas om, hehehe sama-sama belajar

"You've got a few different values being shown in these clips. Instant Center and Center of Curvature - IC and CC.

These are not what I normally look at - but they are usefull.

In suspension systems where there is a simple swing arm (single pivot) instant center isn't so exciting - its just the point around which the suspension rotates - IE the main pivot.

In multi link bikes - whether they be horst link, or VPP or DW, etc - the rear wheel doesn't rotate around a single point - that point sort of moves around during the suspension compression. This point is called the Instant Center.

This is what is being tracked in the clips provided by nybike. The Linkage program allows you to "track" various factors - IC and CC being a couple.

You can see in the examples given that the IC of whatever suspension system moves about - generally starting high, and ending up low. Remembering that this is the point around which the suspension rotates - you can sort of imagine how the suspension is going to act at those various points.

A higher IC usually corresponds to higher antisquat. Think of high pivot suspension systems.

A low IC is the opposite. If the IC drops below the bottom bracket, the suspension system will actually create positive squat. This is bad. It means when you pedal, you're mechanicially compressing the suspension - which means you're losing lots of power and energy.

IC is not the end all be all, though. I like to look at derived antisquat - when using Linkage.

Antisquat is the amount of force the suspension sytem creates to counter inertial forces that cause suspension compression. Linkage provides this for each bike - and it will show you what the antisquat level is for which ever bike you're looking at - in various gear combinations, at various points in travel.

This is important - antisquat will change in different gears, at different points in travel.

What DW has done is make sure that there is a high level of antisquat at every point in travel - not just the upper (top out) area. This ensures good pedalling performance no matter how much sag you run, no matter what gear combo you're in.

I haven't seen any other design do this quite so well."

oom BJ animasinya bikin sendiri kah?

baru nyoba single pivot, maestro, fsr, faux bar, rail system (yeti), dw-link, vpp...

sejauh ini emang yg paling maknyus dw link buat saya, buat ngeredam impact sip bgt tapi ga gak ngorbanin kemampuan pedaling.
    second best FSR hehe

penasaran pengen nyoba ABP trek, knuckle box, FS2 polygon, pendbox dll. tp trek sama poligon yg paling bikin penasaran sih..

(pingin tau aja pdhal gak maen pulsus :D)

    ikutan nambahin dikit dong

terus, menurut saya FS2 punya polygon ada miripnya sama Zero suspension punya mondraker

    mondraker zero suspension system:

    polygon FS2:
